NEET UG 2026 Counselling Process

Complete guide for 15% AIQ, AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, Deemed & Central University seats.

NEET UG 2026 Counselling covers: 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS/BDS seats, 100% AIIMS seats across India, 100% JIPMER seats (Puducherry/Karaikal), 100% AMU, 85% State Quota of DU/IP University (VMMC/ABVIMS/ESIC Dental), 100% Faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Milia Islamia) with 5% internal quota, and 15% IP quota seats of ESIC (MBBS/BDS/BSc-Nursing).

The counselling for 15% AIQ and all Deemed/Central Universities (including DU, BHU & AMU) is conducted by DGHS on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), tentatively in the second week of June. All information is available exclusively on www.mcc.nic.in.

AIQ & Central Institutions
Online counselling by MCC in 2 rounds for 15% AIQ seats, and 3 rounds (including Mop-Up) for Central & Deemed Universities.
State Quota Seats
Candidates must follow respective State Government instructions. Private college counselling (non-Deemed) is handled by state authorities.
Eligibility
Candidates must qualify NEET UG 2026 with the minimum required percentile as per their category. Domicile criteria is state-specific.
Important Note
All medical colleges (excluding AIIMS & JIPMER) take admissions based on NEET 2026 marks. No data change is allowed after result declaration.
Step-wise Guide

Counselling Registration Procedure

New User Registration

Enter stream (Medical/Dental), NEET roll no., application no., name, DOB and security pin. Click 'I Agree' to proceed. Save your login credentials carefully.

Submission of Personal Details

Fill mother's name, father's name and address. These details cannot be changed later, so ensure they match your official documents.

Fee Payment

Pay non-refundable registration fee + refundable tuition fee via Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking. See fee table below.

Registration Slip

Print the registration slip displayed on screen. Click 'Login' to continue.

Choice Filling

Select preferred colleges using the '+' button. Candidates who paid fees for both AIQ and Deemed can apply to both categories.

Arrange Preferences

Use up/down arrows or drag-and-drop to reorder choices. Save using 'Save & Continue' or 'Save & Go to Home Page'.

Choice Locking

Lock choices for final submission. Unlocked choices auto-lock on the notified date and are treated as final.

Seat Allotment

After each round, check your seat allotment result — it includes name, roll no., allotted category, college, quota and course.

Report to Allotted College

Carry original + attested photocopies of all mandatory documents to complete admission formalities within the specified date.

Refundable fee is forfeited if candidate leaves the seat without joining. If joined, it is adjusted against tuition fee.

Required Documents at Reporting

  • NEET 2026 Admit Card issued by NTA
  • NEET 2026 Result / Rank Letter issued by NTA
  • Date of Birth Certificate (if not on Matric Certificate)
  • Class 10th Certificate
  • Class 10+2 Certificate and Mark Sheet
  • Eight (8) passport-size photographs (same as on application form)
  • Provisional Allotment Letter generated online
  • Proof of Identity (Aadhaar / PAN / Driving Licence / Passport)

Important: Candidates without original certificates will NOT be allowed admission. Candidates whose originals are deposited with another institution will also NOT be allowed admission.
